This significantly reduced resistance enabled a steadier wave conductivity. Korea’s topography forced them to develop wave-searching software and was specially designed for the mountainous area.
Kun Hee-Lee, the chairman of the Samsung Group at the time, received a report about ‘Management and Design’ from his top executives. The quality of the Samsung phones, as well as the design and other issues were not great and Kun Hee-Lee ordered his staff to develop and produce quality phones similar to the ones offered by Motorola in 1994. If they didn’t succeed, the president would withdraw Samsung from the mobile phone market. Knowing that their jobs were at stake, the staff worked hard to develop quality phones and in November 1993 the SH-700 was released. By November of 1993 the development team came through and introduced a new model of mobile phones, which was the SH-700. It was remarkable and turned the tide for Samsung in the mobile phone business.
On top of releasing a quality product, each and every phone was tested to make sure that nothing was wrong with it. This is probably one of the reasons why Samsung Mobile has such loyal customers.
