Now there is an acceptable alternative to forking out around $40 per month for a wireless phone basic fee. Net10 has a minimum monthly cost of fifeen dollars – plus No Commitment! Net10 also has a great inventory of heavily discounted Mobile phones, starting $19.99. To check Net10phones, click HERE .

The large companies in this market; AT&T, Verizon, Blackberry all have mobile plans that are remarkably alike that charge the customer a minimum monthly cost of approximately forty dollors – which includes a certain amount of air time, and then charge other fees for calls at certain times and with different fee structures (see table following).

But now you can also find prepaid similar to the one Net10 has. There is also a monthly charge, but with the case of Net10, it starts at $15/month which includes 2.5 hours of usage. So that works out at a per minute charge of 10c – and that is the charge no matter how many minutes you end up using.

Now 150 minutes a month is not many- just about 5 minutes a day – but you can add on minutes either via the internet, via a toll free number or at many of large retail stores like Walmart, Target and Kmart. For information of all stores, click on one of the links at the top of the page.

To keep any account active, you have to get a minimum of $15/month (150 mins). If, for some reason, you do not use the minimum amount of time, any unused time willroll over, so you don’t lose any.

Coverage is all throughout the US, with a few small exceptions- like rural Alaska – just like every Mobile phone plan.
